The continued issues and uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 coronaviris have forced the organizers of the Racers Adidas Grand Prix Continental Tour gold meet, to officially cancel the event which had been set for this Saturday.
Meet Organiser and president of the Racers Track Club, Glen Mills told Radio Jamaica Sports that the tough decision which has been communicated to World Athletics came after much deliberation.
Mills says Racers Grand Prix organizers are already in talks with stakeholders for the event to be held on June 5 of next year.
In the interim, Racers Grand Prix, in partnership with TVJ Sports Network, will rebroadcast the 2019 staging this Saturday evening at 7:00 pm. Global fans can tune in via TVJ SN on 1spotmedia.com.
