After starting the calendar year at number 47, the Reggae Boyz have ended at number 57 following the release of the latest FIFA world rankings on Thursday.
This is the same position from the November edition which keeps them at number one in the Caribbean and fifth in CONCACAF behind the United States, Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica.
Canada earned more FIFA ranking points than any other national team in the world by ending the year at 40, rising from number 78 at the start of the year.
The Reggae Boyz will next be in action on January 20 against Peru in a friendly international in Lima. Their next World Cup qualifier is on January 27 against Mexico at home.
Belgium ends the year as the best ranked team, followed by France, Brazil, England, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and European champions Italy rounding out the top 10.
