Retirement beckons for Jeter

It seems retirement could be on the horizon for 2011 World 100m champion, American Carmelita Jeter who has joined the athletics coaching staff at her alma mater California State University.

Jeter, the 2012 Olympic 100m silver and 200 meter bronze medallist, was NCAA runner-up three times in the 100 meters while competing for Cal State and with her six All-America awards, shares the honour of being the most decorated female athlete in the school's history.

Jeter shared keen rivalries with Jamaica's Shelly--Ann Fraser-Pryce, Kerron Stewart and Veronica Campbell-Brown while at the peak of her career.
