Scorpions' batting woes exposed once again

Jamaica Scorpions familiar batting woes were again on display as the hosts reached 153-9 in their first innings reply against defending champions Guyana Harpy Eagles on day two of their CWI 6th round regional 4-day match at Sabina Park. They trail by 271 runs.

Romaine Morris 21 and Marquino Mindley 13, were the not out batsmen at the close. Captain Brandon King has so far top scored with 32, while Ramaal Lewis also made 24.

Earlier, the Harpy Eagles were dismissed for 424 in their first innings after resuming on 275-7.

Kemol Savoury carried on to a career-best 155 from his overnight 127, his second first class ton, while fellow overnight batsman Tevin Imlach carried to 101 not out after resuming on 33. This was Imlach's second consecutive century.

Nial Smith also contributed 33. Ojay Shields ended with 4-103 and Pete Salmon 3-117.
