'Slick' Ashley wants development programmes for local female boxers

Former WBC World Super Bantamweight champion Alicia ‘Slick’ Ashley is urging boxing gyms in Jamaica to develop programmes specifically for female boxers. According to her, some women are intimidated in the male dominated space in gyms.

Ashley also believes the popular Wray and Nephew Contender Series should consider adding a weekly female fight. Ashley was speaking on Hitz 92 FM's Girls Sports Club on Wednesday.
