Kaliese Spencer and Novlene Williams Mills were the Jamaican winners at the at the IAAF Eugene Diamond League Meet in the USA Saturday afternoon.
Spencer clocked a world leading 54.29 seconds to win the women's 400 meter hurdles. Compatriot Shevon Stoddart finished 4th in 5615.
Williams Mills who continued her good form, clocking 50.40 to win the women's 400 meters. Stephanie McPherson was 3rd in 50.63.
Double sprint world champion Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce, affected by a niggling injury this season, was a shadow of her usual self and ended 8th in the women's 200 meters, clocking 23.06.
Tori Bowie, the new American sensation, won the event in a world leading 22.18
Olympic bronze medalist Hansle Parchment lost his world lead in the men's 110 meter hurdles. He clocked 13.20 for 2nd, behind the exciting French man Pascal Martinot-Lagarde who clocked a new world leading 13.13 to win.
Nesta Carter and Nickel Ashmeade, with wind aided times of 9.89 and 9.95, finished 4th and 5th respectively in the men's 100 meters. High riding American Justin Gatlin took the event in 9.76, in a plus 2.7 per second tail wind.
