Quarter-miler Christopher Taylor made a winning return to competitive action on Saturday at the National Stadium, clocking an impressive 45.66 seconds at the JAAA World Athletics Championships preparation meet.
Taylor was suspended for two and a half years for evading, refusing or failing to submit a urine sample in 2023. His suspension ended less than two weeks ago.
Taylor last ran in 2022 at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, picking up a silver with the mile relay team.
Taylor will next be in action at the Racers Grand Prix on June 7, where he's scheduled to line up in the 200 metres.
In other results from the meet 2-time world under 20 100m champion Tina Clayton won the women's 100m. The 21 year old from MVP Track Club, clocked 11.16 seconds to win ahead of Alexxe Henry and Kishawna Niles followed her across the line.
Kadrian Goldson won heat one of the men's 100m timed final in 10.41, ahead of national junior record holder Bouwahjgie Nkrumie and Emmanuel Archibald. Odain McPherson had the fastest time overall, winning heat two in 10.36.
Earlier in the men's preliminaries, Kishane Thompson led the field with a wind-aided 10.04 but did not return for the final.
Former Edwin Allen standout Delano Kennedy defeated former national champion Demish Gaye to win heat one of the men's 400m timed final, clocking 45.72, the second fastest time overall on the night.
