Vice captain of Jamaica's rugby league team Marvin Thompson says he's delighted that the Reggae Warriors have confirmed two warm-up games leading into the World Cup in England in October.

The Reggae Warriors who are ranked 20th in the world, are slated to face world number 8 France and world number 14 Wales in the summer. Thompson has been a national player for almost a decade.

The Reggae Warriors are drawn in Group "C" of the Rugby League World Cup and are slated to face New Zealand, Ireland and Lebanon.

The World Cup is set to run from October 23 to November 27. This will be Jamaica's debut at a Rugby League World Cup. They qualified in 2018 after winning the Americas Championship.
