National netballer Latanya Wilson is ecstatic at becoming the latest Sunshine Girl to be contracted for the top league in the world, the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia.
The 20 year old Wilson who can play as goalkeeper, goal defence or wing defence, will turn out for the Adelaide Thunderbirs and will be one of seven Sunshine Girls parading their skills in the league next season, joining Shamera Sterling who remains at the Thunderbirds as well as Jhaniele Fowler of the West Coast Fever, Romelda Aiken of the Queensland Firebirds, Kadian Dehaney of Melbourne Vixens and Jodi-Ann Ward and Shimona Nelson of the Collingwood Magpies.
No date has yet been set for start of the league next season. Wilson is currently in training with the Sunshine Girls for a 4-test series in England sometime in January.
