Will Smith apologizes again for slapping Chris Rock at Oscars

Academy Award-winning actor Will Smith has again apologized to comedian Chris Rock for slapping him on stage during the Oscar telecast in March, after Rock made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

In a new video released today, the King Richard actor acknowledged that his behavior was unacceptable and he is deeply remorseful.

Smith stated that he had reached out to the comedian to discuss the incident but was told Rock wasn't ready to talk.

He also used the opportunity to apologize to Rock's mother, family, and brother, Tony Rock, who starred in Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's 2007 sitcom All of Us.

He added that his once great relationship with Tony may now be irreparable.
