TransJamaican Highway reports US$8.2 million in revenues for Portmore to May Pen leg of Highway 2000

Toll road operator TransJamaican Highway has reported a record US$8.2 million or J$13 billion in revenues from motorists who used the Portmore to May Pen leg of Highway 2000 last year.

This represents a 10 per cent increase in revenues which the company says was due to a jump in the volume of traffic using the highway as well as an increase in the annual toll rates.

The company was privatised and listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange in 2020.

The National Road Operating and Constructing Company owns the largest bloc of shares in Trans Jamaican Highway with 20 per cent and the company is one of the most actively traded stocks on the JSE.
