A delivery truck driver from St Elizabeth is in custody after he was caught attempting to smuggle cocaine through Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay on Thursday.
The narcotics police say the 49 year-old man from Thornton tried to smuggle approximately five kilograms of cocaine.
About 3 o'clock in the afternoon the man arrived at the airport intending to board a flight destined for London, England.
During security procedures the cocaine, which carries a street value of approximately £150,000, was found concealed in his luggage.
He was arrested on reasonable suspicion of breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
