The People's Action Movement (PAM) in St. Kitts and Nevis says it intends to join forces with the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) to contest the next general election.
This follows the announcement by Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris that he had asked the Governor General to dissolve Parliament with immediate effect.
PAM and the CCM had been part of the three-member coalition Team Unity government, with Dr. Harris' People's Labour Party (PLP) being the other party.
PAM holds four of the eight seats in St. Kitts and CCM holds all three seats in Nevis.
Last week, the Governor-General denied a request by six legislators to remove Dr. Harris as the split within the ruling coalition Team Unity government took another turn.
