After a year's break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ISSA schoolboy football competitions could return this year.

ISSA is currently preparing a protocol to send to the government as the governing body seeks the go ahead to return to action, possibly in October.

According to ISSA president Keith Wellington, they have started the discussion with the stakeholders to gage where the level of interest is as well as looking at the possible options based on the prevailing conditions regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, Wellington is not expecting a full participation due to a lack of resources among some schools brought on by difficulties associated with the pandemic. Jamaica College and Clarendon College were the last Manning and DaCosta Cup champions.
