President of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) Christopher Samuda has provided the reason for parting company with three members of staff at the JOA headquarters last Friday. President of the Jamaica Olympic Association Christopher Samuda says the termination of three employees last Friday came as part of restructuring exercise at the umbrella sports organisation.
In the meantime, the JOA head says the three members of his executive who were recently added to the board of the sport development foundation will be aiming to bring greater transparency the body.
Current JOA vice-presidents, Christian Stokes and Garth Gayle as well as director Laurel Smith replaced long time officials Molly Rhone, Compton Rodney and Mike Fennell, who served as JOA boss for 40 years ending in July this year.
