Taraji P. Henson as 'Cookie Lyon' on the TV show 'Empire'
Empire’s Taraji P Henson has revealed that fans can expect to see a different side to her character Cookie when the series returns later this month.
Season three saw Cookie finally land a coveted position of power at Empire Entertainment, the record company she built with husband Lucious Lyon.
Heading into season four means viewers will see more of Cookie the CEO – and less of the loud-mouth ghetto queen she's been.
Season 4 of Empire will also include Oscar-winner Forest Whittaker, who plays music icon Uncle Eddie, a vital mentor from Lucious’ past.
Empire returns on September 27 and is aired on TVJ.
