Former Finance Minister Dr. Omar Davies, speaking with Simon Crosskill on Power Talk, on Power 106 FM
Former Finance Minister Dr. Omar Davies is calling for outgoing Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke to tell the country what criteria were used to determine the information that has been made public in the FINSAC Commission Archives.
Dr. Davies also wants Dr. Clarke to say why the reports of the forensic auditors from Canada, the UK, the USA and locally were not placed in the archives.
The former finance minister argued that failure to publish these aspects of the FINSAC saga is an indication of political gamesmanship on the part of Dr. Clarke.
"I assume that this would bring all things to light, and if there were condemnations to be made about my actions, so be it. But at the same time, they should reveal what has happened in several other instances," he suggested.
But, speaking with Simon Crosskill on Power Talk, on Power 106, Dr. Davies refused to confirm or deny whether he received bounced cheques from some politicians who were impacted by the financial crisis in the 1990s.
