Another
programme has been announced which will make it easier for persons to pay
taxes.
Effective November 1, 2009, employers will be able to pay and file their declarations for payroll deductions electronically.
Director of Communication at the Tax Administration Services Department, Meris Haughton, said the new system will begin on a pilot phase using the online payment service.
"In which we will be asking our regular users and persons we have invited for a focus group to participate in making their payments using the online service as of November 1. So for their October monthly payment they will be using that system to make those payments from November 1 to November 14 that is the due date," Ms. Haughton said.
Salary deductions which can be paid on-line include PAYE, Income Tax, Education Tax and HEART.
