Taxpayers will be able to digitally submit a slew of tax documents and other communications to the Internal Revenue Service next filing season as the US agency aims to go completely paperless by 2025.
The announcement was made yesterday by United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel.
The move is being financed through an US$80 billion infusion of cash for the IRS over a decade under the Inflation Reduction Act passed last August.
