Radio Jamaica Limited recorded $145.2 million net profit for the financial year ended March 31.
This was a major turnaround from the $224.8 million loss reported in the previous year.
Radio Jamaica in its audited financial statements said the increase in performance is due primarily to net profits of $95 million from the Gleaner Company Media Limited and an improvement in profitability of the pre-amalgamated RJR Group.
It recorded higher revenues as well as lower selling, operating and administrative expenses.
Revenues increased by $2.9 billion to $5.2 billion.
Radio Jamaica said this was due to the addition of Gleaner Company Media Limited revenues and pre-amalgamated RJR revenues registering a two per cent increase.
