Seprod has announced the divestment of its subsidiary International Biscuits Limited as part of what the company describes as a strategic portfolio optimisation initiative.
International Biscuits, known for producing popular brands such as Butterkist and Snackables, also manufacture
products for third-party brands including Ovaltine and Miss Birdie.
Under the terms of the agreement, Seprod will continue distributing IBL products locally through its distribution subsidiaries.
The company says all existing export partnerships will remain unchanged ensuring continuity of supply across regional and international markets.
Chief Executive Officer Richard Pandohie says the move is a deliberate step towards sharpening separate operational focus and strengthening its balance sheet while maintaining strong commercial partnership.
The transition takes effect immediately.
