Windies' return to the Caribbean from T20 World Cup delayed

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jherard Morris-Sealy

The West Indies' return to the Caribbean from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup has been delayed due to airspace closures across parts of the Middle East, as ongoing military tensions between the United States and Iran continue to disrupt international travel.

The regional side remains in India following their exit from the T20 World Cup, where their campaign ended on Sunday with a 5 wicket loss to defending champions India at Eden Gardens.

However, Cricket West Indies (CWI) has given the assurance that the players and support staff are safely accommodated and that updates will be provided regarding their revised departure schedule.
