Sangsters Books Store gets 2010 Poetic Pioneers Award

Sangster's Book Stores Limited was presented with the Poetic Pioneers Award 2010 by members of the Dub Traffickers Poets recently.
Sangster's was lauded for publishing and distributing books and other material related to poetry.

Among those are works by two poetry icons, Oku Onoura and Louise
'Miss Lou' Coverley.

The presentation was made in a private ceremony on November 26.

Sangster's Book Stores was founded in 1938 by Ferdinand Sangster, with the first store opened on King Street in downtown Kingston.

In pursuit of commitment and service to its valued customers, Sangster's increased its service locations between 1968 and 1972.

Today, the Sangster's name is synonymous with textbooks and school supplies.
