Dr Leon Vaughan, prominent opthalmologist, dies

Dr Leon Vaughan, a prominent opthalmologist, died on Saturday morning. He was 57 years old. 
 
Radio Jamaica News was told that Dr Vaughan was driving in the vicinity of Coorville Gardens, St Andrew this morning when he reported feeling severe chest pains and lost control of the vehicle.
 
Dr. Brian James,  President of the Medical Association of Jamaica, reacting to his passing, told Radio Jamaica News that it was "difficult to express how heartbreaking" the news was.
 
"I've received calls from far and wide, from all sectors of the medical community, and everybody is totally shocked," he said.
 
"We are all devastated," he said.
