Local telecommunications company, Flow, has completed
negotiations with US cable
network HBO for a new agreement to broadcast the popular cable feed in Jamaica.
The new terms of the agreement to broadcast HBO Latin American channels in Jamaica are to be signed at the official launch Monday evening.
In September last year HBO said there were copyright infringements in Jamaica and fingers were pointed at the three cable companies, which were not identified by the Broadcasting Commission.
The Commission instructed cable companies to cease transmission of HBO's unauthorized programming until proper contractual arrangements were made and presented to its secretariat.
It at that time warned that cable companies which fail to comply place their licences at risk.
