Senator Charles Sinclair, Councillor for the Montego Bay North Eastern Division
Four persons were shot, two fatally, during an attack in Flanker, St. James on Thursday night.
They are 18-year-old Omar Warren and 35-year-old Bobby Campbell, both of Flanker.
The police say about 10:30 p.m., men armed with guns drove to a section of the community and opened fire on a group.
The gunmen escaped.
Senator Charles Sinclair, Councillor for the Montego Bay North Eastern Division, said the community is shaken by the incident.
He noted that the area had gone from as much as 39 murders in a year, to becoming a "peaceful community over the past several years".
The councillor said Thursday night's attack is a "very backward step" which has pushed the number of people killed in the community since the start of the year to three.
