Investigators have identified a suspect in connection with Thursday night's abduction and murder of a JUTA bus operator and his wife in Elgin Town, Hanover.
Balford Gordon, 56, and his wife Aleth Brown Gordon, 45, were killed in the incident.
A third man, who was abducted, has been hospitalised with bullet wounds.
The Hanover police were alerted after the injured man informed doctors of what transpired.
Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch, described the incident as "another unfortunate murder of an innocent man and his wife."
"But, the investigations are continuing in that matter," he said. "We have identified one suspect in the matter, and we are hoping to further our investigations and bring it to closure soon."
He says investigators are still trying to determine how many persons participated in the killing, following initial reports that a man carried out the attack.
