One of the women at the centre of assault of the 14-year-old girl in Clarendon has broken her silence.
The woman is not among the seven people, including four minors, charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
But her mother is among those charged and is to appear in court next week.
The 19-year-old woman, during an interview with Radio Jamaica News on Thursday, dismissed allegations that she was involved in a love triangle with the teen's mother and the mother's boyfriend, a member of the JDF.
The woman, who did not want to give her name, admitted that her relationship with the soldier ended more than a year ago.
"Mi siddung from Sunday a watch dem a tell lie pon mi, an mi nuh seh nut'n bout it. Mi just tek it easy. It a get too far because she a lie and she nuh need fi lie," insisted the woman, who said she only arrived at the scene after the fight was over.
"In terms of di fight, dem cyah just listen to one side of the story, you get me, 'cause none a dem nah talk di truth," she maintained.
The mother of one said she and the teen's mom had an exchange about two weeks ago on social media, but was adamant that she had nothing to do with Saturday's attack on the teen.
According to her, the 14-year-old girl was involved in a similar incident approximately two nights before she was attacked.
The woman said she and her friends have been threatened over the viral beating of the teen.
She was speaking with Radio Jamaica's correspondent Hopeton Henry.
