Police carry out public order operation in Santa Cruz

A public order operation was carried out by the police in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth on Tuesday.
 
Deputy Superintendent Coleridge Minto, commanding officer for the St. Elizabeth Police,  who spearheaded the operation, said it will be extended to neighbouring towns.
 
He's also urging criminals to surrender to the police.
 
Deputy Superintendent Minto, who was transferred from Kingston two months ago, said he's met with a range of stakeholders, including taxi operators.
 
He disclosed that stakeholders are requesting additional police patrol in the business district.
 
The police also imposed a curfew in sections of the parish, starting 6PM on Tuesday.
