Porn mastermind slapped with more charges

Twenty-seven year old Ronald Oates, the man accused of creating the porn website "Jamaican Girls exposed", has been slapped with additional charges.

Mr Oates was offered 500-thousand dollars bail on Tuesday before the Corporate Area Criminal Court.

However, before he could take up his bond, detectives from the Organised Crime Investigation Division laid additional charges against him after two alleged victims filed complaints against him.

He has been charged with two counts of breaches of the Cyber Crime Act, extortion and conspiracy to extort.

He's scheduled to return to court on Monday when his attorney is expected to make a fresh application for bail.

Mr. Oates who was arrested last month during a joint operation involving US law enforcement authorities, has already been charged with unauthorized access, unauthorized obstruction, unlawfully making available data for the commission of an offence and obscene publication under the Cyber crime Act.

The cops began tracking Mr Oates after the material on the website went viral.

The website which has since been shut down, featured unauthorized nude photographs of hundreds of Jamaican women some of them prominent individuals.

On Tuesday prosecutors requested more time from the Court to allow investigators to further analyse and download images and other related evidence, reportedly contained on computers seized from Mr. Oates' residence.

Investigators say the additional time was necessary as members were still in the process of contacting persons who claim to have been victims.
