The Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) has started onion crop care training with farmers in St. Thomas.
The series of training exercises got underway last month and will cover farmers in the onion production areas across the parish.
According to RADA Parish Manager Beven Martin-Dickenson, the training is aimed at boosting onion production and promoting best practices.
She said land preparation is in high gear for farmers to start planting in late September and October.
St. Thomas is reportedly the top onion producing parish.
