The management of the Annotto Bay Hospital in the eastern parish of St Mary, says progress is being made with refurbishing work on the institution that was extensively damaged by Hurricane Sandy last year.
"With my donors I can smile at any storm , because I am more than prepared, the repairs are more than adequate and I believe we are in a much much better position to face a storm whatever it brings with minimal damage. everything is redone more firmly, the structure is safer, everything is firmly reenforced so I do not have the worries I had a year ago," said Arlene Mighty, Chief Executive Officer at the hospital .
Corporate Jamaica had rallied with major efforts by the RJR Communications Group which raised more than J$5-million in cash and kind, through a public appeal for the hospital's restoration.
