Traffic changes ahead of New Year’s Eve celebrations

There will be traffic changes this Tuesday in downtown Kingston to facilitate the staging of the annual Fireworks on the Waterfront.
The event will get underway at 2:00 o'clock and end at 1:00 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Access to the following roads will be limited as of noon: Duke Street in the vicinity of the Bank of Jamaica car park; King Street at the intersection with Port Royal Street; Orange Street just below the entrance to the multi-story Car Park; and Princess Street at the intersection with Port Royal Street.
West Street at the intersection with Port Royal Street and Duke Street at the intersection with Nethersole Place will have limited access starting at 4:00 o'clock.     
No parking will be allowed on Port Royal Street while there will be two-way traffic on Orange Street between Port Royal Street and the multi-story car park.
Secured parking will be offered at the West Street Car Park, downtown Kingston Transportation Centre, Harbour/Port Royal Street Car Park, Bank of Nova Scotia Car Park, and Bank of Jamaica Car Park.
