Two arrested in St. James for lottery scam, face extradition to US

Two men wanted by US prosecutors for activities related to lottery scamming were arrested in St. James on Wednesday.
 
The men, whose names have not been released, were arrested at their respective homes in Paradise Heights and Montego West Village during separate pre-dawn operations involving the Lottery Scam Taskforce, members of the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team, and the Jamaica Defence Force.
 
They were arrested on extradition warrants from US authorities accusing them of money laundering, mail fraud, wire fraud, and other offences related to the lottery scam.
