Jamaican swimmer Kito Campbell made waves at the recent TYR Pro Swim Series in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shattering his own national record in the 100 metre breaststroke.
Campbell's impressive swim saw him stopping the clock at 1 minute, 02.33 seconds, to lower the previous record of one minute, 03.17 he set in 2023. Campbell's new record placed him 9th on the Caribbean all-time list in the event.
His remarkable time also puts him on track to achieve the World Championships "B" qualifying time of 1:01.84. The 22nd edition of the 2025 World Aquatics Championships will take place from July 11 to August 3 in Singapore.
