Dehring supports Sammy's appointment as all-format coach

Newly-appointed CEO of Cricket West Indies (CWI), Chris Dehring says he's confident former Windies captain Darren Sammy can get the job done as the regional team's coach in all three formats of the game.

Questions have been raised in some quarters over the decision to appoint Sammy as West Indies coach in all formats.

However, Dehring who was speaking on Hitz 92 FM's Sports Grill on Thursday, gave Sammy his support. Meanwhile, Dehring says CWI has to be smart in how they spend their resources because of the significant disparity with the rest of the world.
