Female riders welcome JRC's amendment to apprentice claiming allowance rule

Four female riders at Caymanas Park are welcoming the Jamaica Racing Commission's (JRC) amendment to the rule governing claiming allowances. Natalie Berger, Melissa Ward, Samantha Fletcher and Abigail Able, have all expressed delight at the change.

Berger and Ward who each have 19 career winners, are now back to claiming three kilos or 7 pounds, while Samantha Fletcher who has so far ridden 11 winners, is still claiming 3 kilos. Able who has two winners this season and three overall, continues to claim 4 kilos.
