GC Foster and UTech to battle in Intercol Division 1 basketball final

GC Foster College and UTech Knights will contest this season's Division 1 Intercol basketball final following contrasting semi-final victories on Tuesday.

GC Foster behind 20 points and 15 rebounds from Lushane Wilson, recorded a 70-59 win over UWI, for whom Joel Ricketts led the way with a game-high 27 points and 13 rebounds.

UTech Knights secured their ticket to the final with a close 51-49 win over Caribbean Maritime University. Derjean Royal was the top man for UTech Knights with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Dakari Nicholson weighed in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The final is set for Thursday at the National Stadium Courts starting at 6:00 pm.
Meanwhile, Northern Caribbean University captured the Division 2 title with a comfortable 68-27 win over University of the Commonwealth Caribbean.
