HWT Primary PE teacher facing civil suit in child abuse case

Having pleaded guilty to child abuse on Wednesday, Half Way Tree Primary School Physical Education teacher Jermaine Jones could soon be facing a civil suit according to Attorney at Law Andre Earle. Earle has been retained by the mother of the child to bring civil charges against Jones whose guily plea came after he was reported for beating a student of the school with a metal pipe in April of this year.

Earle says he will be seeking to recover significant damages on behalf of his client who he says has been suffering significantly since the incident. The child was said to have been left with abrasions and swelling on his leg and buttocks following the incident.
