Jamaica's failure to bid for the upcoming men's T20 World Cup to be jointly hosted in the Caribbean and the United States was one of the main reasons for the resounding defeat of Wilford "Billy" Heaven at the Jamaica Cricket Association's (JCA)  elections on Thursday.

That's the assessment by the majority of the delegates. Heaven was crushed 67-30 by Dr Donovan Bennett at Thursday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections at the Jamaica Conference Centre. Dr Bennett and his team will administer local cricket for the next two years.
