Jamaica's Technical Leader at the World Athletics Relays, Mark Elliott, has sought to clear the air on the absence of quarter-milers Stacy-Ann Williams and Shiann Salmon on the eve of the 2-day meet which begins at 6:05 Saturday morning Jamaica time.

Despite being originally named in Jamaica's team, Elliott says they weren't expecting Williams and Salmon to be a part of the Jamaican delegation. Both athletes did not travel to China.
