Vauxhall High created the biggest upset of the 2015 ISSA FLOW Manning Cup season so far with a 2-0 win over former champions Excelsior.
Tyane Wilson and Roshawn Williams scored the goals for Vauxhall who were registering a second win from as many matches in Group “F”.
In other Group “F” games on Thursday, Giovani Shorter netted twice in Jonathan Grant's 3-1 win over Ascot while Norman Manley clipped Spanish Town 1-0 for their first win.
Meanwhile, after netting nine against Kingston Technical on Tuesday, pre season favourites, St George’s College could only manage a 2-0 victory against Denham Town in Group “C’ where Ardenne clipped Eltham 1-0 through a second half strike from Shamar Bennett.
2012 finalists Hydel got their first win after a draw on Tuesday; they beat Papine 1-0 with Stephen Barnett netting the winner.
Haile Selassie rebounded from defeat on Tuesday to drub Cumberland 4-0 with a double from Ricardo Phipps while Greater Portmore stopped Dunoon 2-0, all in matches from Group “F”.
The competition continues on Friday.
Meanwhile, led by a double from Algawayne Edwards, Tacky tagged St Mary Technical 2-1 in the ISSA FLOW DaCosta Cup competition on Thursday afternoon.
Edwards scored in the 5th and 52nd minutes for Tacky while Michael Edwards scored 90th minute penalty for St Mary Technical.
