Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jeremain Brown

The West Indies struggles with the bat continued after they were dismissed for a meagre 162 by host India on the opening day of the first test in Ahmedabad.

This follows on the team's historical low of 27 all out against Australia in their last test at Sabina Park in July. The Indians in reply, closed on 121-2, trailing by just 41 runs.
