Nicki Minaj gushes about her love for JA

Rapper Nicki Minaj recently gushed on Twitter about her newfound love for Jamaica.

The Young Money emcee rocked the house during her debut performed in Jamaica at the 2011 staging of Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, St. James on Saturday, July 23.

After her performance, she tweeted, “OMG!!! I swear I just had the TIME of my LIFE @ ReggaeSumFest in JAMAICA!!!!!

This is despite her run in with the local law.

Minaj ruffled feathers with her expletive-laced performance, earning Minaj a fine.
The rapper violated the country’s obscenity law with her profane lyrics and sexually charged dancing.

Minaj was subsequently served a court summons by local police as she said goodbye to a packed crowd at the Catherine Hall Complex.
The Pink Friday rapper did not appear in court but was represented by attorney Hugh Thompson, who entered an ex parte guilty plea on behalf of Minaj and paid the $1,000 fine, the equivalent of US$11.
