Fugitive on US immigrations "most wanted" list transported to Jamaica

A Jamaican man who was described as the "most wanted fugitive" being sought by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is back in Jamaica.

Officers and special agents with ICE tracked down 46-year-old Clive Dixon, alias "Rambo", who was illegally residing in Brooklyn. ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations officers transported Dixon to Jamaica last Thursday.

Dixon was wanted for removal after he evaded arrest in 2010. He was subsequently added to ICE’s Most Wanted Fugitives.

The Jamaican, a former legal permanent resident, was originally deported in 1993 after being convicted in New York of criminal possession of a firearm. He later illegally re-entered the country before US immigration authorities located him in North Carolina. When officers attempted to take him into custody, Dixon fled and his whereabouts were unknown until special agents received information that he was holed up in a Brooklyn apartment.

Dixon was arrested on October 24 without incident.
