A motorist who was being sought by the St. Thomas Police after he reportedly fled the scene of a fatal crash on Sunday night has been taken into custody.
A nurse, Leonie Smith Wilson of Llandewey in St. Thomas, died in the crash.
The driver is being held on reasonable suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
It was reported that about 7:50 Sunday evening, a Toyota Probox was travelling along the Yallahs main road when it was hit by a Honda Integra.
Mrs Smith Wilson and two other passengers in the Toyota were taken to hospital.
Mrs Smith Wilson later died.
The other passengers were admitted in stable condition.
