A man and a woman died after their vehicle ran off the road on the Edward Seaga Highway in St Catherine Saturday morning.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that, based on their mode of dress and armbands, it was surmised that the victims were returning from a party in St Mary when they crashed shortly before 8 o'clock.
The circumstances which led to the incident are under investigation.
According to preliminary reports, the man was driving a Honda Civic motorcar with the woman as the passenger.
The wreckage of the vehicle was found beyond the guardrail with the woman pinned inside. She was later removed by fire fighters.
The man was found on the ground a short distance away.
Both died at the scene.
These latest road deaths follow that of a pedestrian on Friday after he was hit by a motor vehicle on the Lacovia main road in St Elizabeth yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as 64 year-old Phillip Walters - otherwise called Junior - of Haughton district in the parish.
It's reported that, about 9:40pm, Mr Walters was walking along the main road when he reportedly walked into the path of a Honda Fit motorcar that was travelling in the same direction toward Santa Cruz.
The injured man was taken to the Black River hospital where he was pronounced dead.
