It seems there will be a mass movement of coaches as most top teams get ready to start pre-season training for the 2016 ISSA schoolboy football season.
RJR Sports online has been reliably informed that national Under-17 coach Andrew Edwards is the latest to be on the move.
Edwards, the former Titchfield, St Elizabeth Technical and Munro College coach was closely linked to a first stint in the Manning Cup with Wolmer's Boys. But he is now the front runner for the job at Manchester High School.
Manchester High recently parted company with Donovan Duckie who spent two years at the institution and led them to the Ben Francis Cup knock out final in 2015. Duckie will be taking up the top job at Hydel High, replacing Geoffrey Maxwell.
Head of the Hydel sports programme Corey Bennett says a deal was long in coming. Given Duckie's recent record of moving after short spells, Bennett says certain aspects of the contract remains incomplete, but they hope Duckie will be around long enough to find success.
“Duckie has been in contact with the school for a couple years along with the President Mrs Hyacinth Bennett but he was hired at Manchester High School at the time so it’s something that we have spoken about before but it never happened because of the timing. But it seems as if the timing might have been a little better now so it was done. I hooping that his personality and his training method will benefit the school in terms of what we are looking for,” said Corey Bennett.
RJR Sports online also understands that Anthony Patrick, will not return to Dinthill Technical. Patrick who won several titles with Bridgeport High, led Dinthill to the DaCosta Cup final where they were beaten by STETHS.
