Former Insports chief accountant Andrew Wright and his two co-accused in the $222 million Insports fraud scandal, have been sentenced in the Supreme Court to prison terms ranging from 10 years and 7 months to 3 years.
This marks a major culmination of the long-running corruption case. Wright has been sentenced to 10 years and 7 months in prison.
Wright's co-accused, O'neil Hope and Rudolph Barnes, will also be serving time in prison for their roles in the fraud scandal.
Hope was sentenced to 5 years and 9 months in prison for 7 counts, which include conspiracy to defraud and the acquisition of criminal property, all to be served concurrently
Barnes was also sentenced to 3 years for 11 counts, which include conspiracy to defraud and an act of corruption, all to be served concurrently as well.
