King and Powell in Windies limited overs squads for tour of Bangladesh

Brandon King and Rovman Powell are the only Jamaicans named in the West Indies limited over squads for six matches against Bangladesh from October 18 -31 in Dhaka and Chattogram. There are two 15-member squads for the three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.

King has been named in both squads, while Powell is in the T20 set up. However, Alzarri Joseph who was also ruled out of the India test matches,  remains sidelined.

Former West Indies Under-19 captain Ackeem Auguste has earned a maiden call-up to the ODI squad, replacing the injured Evin Lewis. Left-arm spinner Khary Pierre and middle order batsman Alick Athanaze have been recalled to the ODI squad.

Meanwhile, the T20 squad sees Barbadian left arm pacer Ramon Simmonds replacing compatriot Jediah Blades, while Amir Jangoo has been selected as a back-up wicket-keeper.

Keacy Carty, Gudakesh Motie and Sherfane Rutherford who were sent by Cricket West Indies to a preparatory camp at the Super Kings Academy in Chennai, India, will join the rest of the Windies delegation in Bangladesh.
